| Job Responsibilities | – Conduct daily ventilation & occupational hygiene measurements. – Meet time deadlines pertaining to reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc). – Provide information and advise regarding ventilation & occupational hygiene matters related to a specific workplace or section of the business area. – Advise on changes to plans, schedules, procedures & standards to minimize the effect of unexpected or unsafe work practices. – Ensure adherence to legal compliance in terms of required reports. – Valid statistics for ventilation & occupational hygiene are available for a specific workplace or section of the business area. – Ensure Occupational related exposure histories are recorded & reported. – Measure compliance to Section 11 & 12 of the Mine Health & Safety Act (Occupational Health Risk Assessment & Monitoring). – Ensure Ventilation & Occupational Hygiene programmes are properly administered. – Assist in the development of best practices, standards & procedures. – Advise management on Business Area Ventilation & Occupational Hygiene. |
