Position Purpose
General labor tasks including loading, off-loading, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Loading/off-loading materials, setting up traffic signs, cleaning work areas, and performing other manual labor tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Grade 10 required; Grade 12 and valid Driver’s License are advantageous.
Experience
At least 1 year in a similar role within Local Government Authority.
Skills and Mindset
Bilingual communication, ability to follow instructions, good physical health, hard-working, self-disciplined.
Knowledge
Basic skills in physical work, understanding of operational requirements.
Manage and control all sanitation section activities including planning, procurement, and budget management.
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing sanitation activities, issuing work orders, managing productivity, handling complaints, working with contractors, budget management, and administrative duties.
Qualifications
Grade 12, National Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent, Qualified Plumber/Millwright (Red Seal) advantageous.
Experience
3 – 5 years in Water & Sanitation within Local Government Authority.
