Responsibilities– Develop and integrate knowledge, planning, and monitoring systems for integrated catchment management.
– Direct, develop, and integrate effective integrated catchment management policy.
– Generate impact through the enablement, development, and integration of leading-edge technologies, practice, policy, science, and innovation.
– Engage and collaborate with strategic partners for advancing, securing, and enabling the development and deployment of biodiversity conservation capabilities.
– Implement the development of biodiversity capability, capacity, and the integration of innovation and technology.

Minimum Requirements– Relevant NQF 7 or higher qualification in Nature Conservation.
– 5-8 years’ working experience in integrated catchment management in the fynbos environment.
– Demonstrated knowledge of ecological processes and conservation management.
– Project leadership and management ability.
– Extensive knowledge of applicable legislation and its implementation.
– Incident Command training and experience.
– Bilingualism in at least two official languages of the Western Cape.
– Valid unendorsed Code EB driver’s license.
– No criminal record.
Competencies– Advanced analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving skills.
– Interpersonal, communication, writing, reporting, and presentation skills.
– Project planning and organizing skills.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
– Knowledge and experience using GIS Software Package/s.
